Book Club
Frustrated with your current book club? Questionable book selections, not enough substantive conversation, no structure, inconvenient scheduling are just some of the negative comments we’ve heard from our members about their local book clubs. So we’ve decided to do something about it. If you’re looking for great reading suggestions, thoughtful discussion, and a connection to a nationwide community of book lovers all from the comfort and convenience of your home, why not try Eoshape’s virtual book club.
Every other month our staff selects a book with universal appeal, relatable characters and subject matter, and solid literary style. We alternate between fiction and non-fiction. Selections can generally be completed comfortably within a week or less and provide the basis for a stimulating discussion.
After each meeting Eoshape posts the date and book selection for the next meeting along with a brief description and a list of discussion questions. Our meetings are run like a chat room with an audio Eoshape moderator. Meetings generally run for one hour. At the end of each discussion, participants are asked to rate the selected book for other website visitors. Both the rating and the discussion are archived for future reference.
